NaturCert has launched the Preliminary Diagnosis service for hotels interested in being evaluated that will provide an introductory overview of the hotels' sustainability performance.
The Preliminary Diagnosis is a service NaturCert offers to hotels with no cost and its purpose is to help hotels evaluate where they stand, regarding their performance in environmental protection and corporate social responsibility.
The questions cover basic sections of your hotel's operation and policies. You will present the management's current actions and future plans regarding issues such as its purchasing, safety and labour policies, its environmental management system, staff training, civil society engagement and cultural preservation.

The process can serve as a simple learning process about what sustainable and responsible hotels are doing globally and how they benefit from these actions.
Given that the Preliminary Diagnosis Form contains the basic key elements of the NaturCert Certification Program for Hotels, it can serve as an estimation that can allow you to evaluate whether your hotel is already at a level that allows it to become certified as a responsible hotel. Otherwise you will need to implement a number of steps, and in an average of 3 to 6 months, you will be able to reach the necessary level for certification.
Finally we believe the Preliminary Diagnosis will help you decide what further actions can be taken in order to achieve certification and gain from the benefits it offers.
